The story opens with a voiceover describing the origins of the universe.
Then we meet the two travel show presenters and their TV crew. They are a team who travel through space and to different planets and broadcast ‘episodes’ of their show to the rest of the universe.
In Episode 1 they meet the Space Horses – They are the Defenders of the Stratosphere, and they have a song and dance.
The ‘Sound Girl’ keeps trying to point things out to the team, but they think he / she is boring and stupid, so they don’t listen.
In Episode 2 they visit a cruise ship on Planet Earth, but they have to leave early because a storm is brewing. The cruise liner gets suck into a black hole!
The Specialist Interplanetary Regulation Authority (SIRA) sends a private radio transmission raising concerns about the information being broadcast. The audience can hear it, because the Sound Guy is picking it up on his sound equipment.
The TV team start to feel the pull of the black hole and they realise they are being sucked towards it. Movement sequence ending with them going through the black hole.
On the other side of black hole – Episode 3 is about the beings they meet on the other side – who have been sucked through before. They realise that everything is getting sucked up and the whole universe is in danger!
SIRA make another transmission, calling for the TV team’s arrest – again the Sound Guy tries to warn them but they don’t listen.
SIRA Guards arrive and take them away.
The TV team stand trial. Their defence lawyer is rubbish and despite very shaky evidence they get convicted and sent to the prison planet.
They arrive on a planet which takes away your imagination, making you unable to plan an escape. They meet other prisoners who tell them their stories. Possibilities include Harry’s story. They learn that they now have no imagination, but the Sound Guy has loads of new ideas!
The Sound Guy plans their escape and calls in the Space Horses. There is a dramatic space battle and they all escape.
They learn that a mysterious stranger has blocked the black hole with an asteroid.
