On Monday in Buxton Project eARTh, participants started to stick their mosaics pieces to the cement board being used for the final artwork. Silk Painting
The New mills group have just started a Silk Painting project with artist Sara Blackburn – to make banner and flags for The One World Festival, and the Rock Mill Centre. They will be unveiled on June 8th – so look out for them this Summer!

Silk Painting
The group have just finished a lovely project with artist Sara Blackburn – creating beautiful silk painted banners and flags for The Buxton Festival Fringe, the Buxton Pride Picnic and Poole’s Cavern. We will unveil these (along with banners made by the New Mills group) on June 8th – so look out for them this

2023 Creative Camp

Book Sculptures
Participants worked with artist Kate Freeborough to make a wonderful set of book sculptures, now on display in the windows of Sett Valley Insurance in New Mills.

Light Within
We are about to start a photography project with Josh Tomalin. Using 35mm film, participants will photograph dancer, Courteney Cruse, and with the photos, create a ‘light sculpture’, lit from within. This will be shown, along with a short 5 minute dance at an event at Spring Bank Arts on Sunday 11th September, as part

Cyanotypes
We have just finished a project with artist Lucie Maycock creating cyanotypes and collages. It was a lovely artform to learn about and experiment with – and the resulting work is beautiful. We hope it will go to Arden House GP surgery in New Mills. [foogallery id=”11047″]
